JERONIMO SAAVEDRA, LA PRESENTE INICIATIVA DE OFRECIMIENTO DE DUES`rROSALON DE CIENTO A LOS PRESIDENTES DE TODAS LAS COMUNIDADES AUTONOMAS DE NUESTRO PAIS, COMO FORO DE EXPRESION DE LA REALIDAD ACTUAL Y PROBLEMATICA DE SUS GOBIERNOS, CONSTITUYE UN INTENTO, QUE CREEMOS IMPORTANTE, PARA DESHACER LOS TOPICOS Y LAS VERSIONES SIMPLISTAS EXISTENTES EN RELACION AL MAPA AUTONOMICO ESPAÑOL. CANTABRIA, DE RAIZ CELTICA, DERIVADA DE "KENT-ABER" RINCON DEL AGUA COMO ALUSION A LA CURVA DEL EBRO O A LA BAHIA DE SANTANDER. Y TAMBIEN DE "KANT-A-BRIGA" CASTILLO DE PIEDRA QUE NOS RETROTRAE A SU NOMBRE MAS CLASICO "LA MONTAÑA". �2. SABEMOS DE ESA TIERRA DONDE NADA ES DEMASIADO GRANDE Y CASI TODO SE DEFINE POR LA MESURA Y EL EQUILIBRIO. DESDE LA DISTRIBUCION DE SU POBLACION (MEDIO MILLON LARGO DE HABITANTES EN 1.113 ENTIDADES DE POBLACION AGRUPADAS EN 103 AYUNTAMIENTOS), A LA DISTRIBUCION DE LA RIQUEZA, YA QUE SI BIEN NO ES DE LAS COMUNIDADES AUTONOMAS MAS "RICAS" DE ESPAÑA, SI ES DE LAS DE UNA DISTRIBUCION DE LA RENTA MAS EQUITATIVA. NUESTRA CIUDAD, Y POR TANTO CATALUNYA, TIENE UNOS LAZOS DE UNION IMPORTANTES CON CANTABRIA. D. ANTONIO LOPEZ, MARQUES DE COMILLAS (INMORTALIZADO EN LA PLAZA SITUADA AL LADO DEL EDIFICIO DE CORREOS EN BARCELONA), FUNDO EN EL SIGLO XIX LA COMPAÑIA TRASATLÁNTICA Y LA COMPAÑIA DE TABACOS DE FILIPINAS, CON SEDE SOCIAL EN BARCELONA DESDE SU CREACION. Y EN EL PUEBLO DE COMILLAS, TANTO EL SEMINARIO DE LOS JESUITAS, DE INCONFUNDIBLE ESTILO GOTICO CATALÁN, COMO LOS EDIFICIOS QUE DISEÑO GAUDI, SON PRUEBAS INEQUIVOCAS DE QUE CANTABRIA HA ESTADO PRESENTE EN NUESTRA CIUDAD, Y DE QUE BARCELONA ESTA PRESENTE EN CANTABRIA. �3.
