Amb en Raimon Obiols, ahir ho recordava l'Isidre Molas, fa vinti-sis anys vam crear una primera organització socialista a la Universitat unitària, un embrió potser del que hagués poder ser un partit socialista en aquells anys, en tot cas, un embrió del que és el socialisme català avui. I vull recordar un fet de com va néixer fisícament aquell moviment, va néixer una nit a casa d'un bon amic, en Raimon Obiols i jo mateix, amb una ciclostil de fusta, em penso d'aquelles que utilitzaven alcohol que feien aquella tinta de color morat,doncs, vam estar imprimint sobre els clixés el que seria la primera octaveta d'aquell moviment, moviment del febrer del 62 i aquesta octaveta era un colom, un colom de Picasso dibuixat que en Raimon — j a sabeu que Raimon dibuixa molt bé, le ve de son p a r e — va dibuixar el colom de Picasso sobre la cera del clixé i tal com anaven sortint les octavetes una per una de la maquineta, les anaven pintant resseguint una de cada color, una de blau, una de vermell i una de groga. Aquelles octavetes col.leccionades i amuntegades, a mitja nit,, ja^ quatre de la matinada, apilades, embolicades i lligades, anaven al dematí, de la mateixa mà, ademes pràcticament nosaltres mateixos, de la Facultat de Deret de la Diagonal i a les dotze que era el moment de màxima acumulació des del Seminari, (no diré de quin perquè encara haurien baralles per veure de quin va ser) els tiraven les octavetes que baixaven volant sobre els estudiants que sortien en aquell moment, aquell va ser el llançamen del moviment del febrer del 62. Es a dir, era una època de la política en la que es combinava el valor, digueum'ho tot, que una mica es necessitava i també l'artesania, la capacitat de fer la política amb les mans, de fer-la des de cero, de fer-la des de quatre idees, en grups de poquíssima gent que començaven a actuar i, és cert, que aqui a Catalunya hi ha altres persones digníssimes que han fet i vam fer des d'aquella època accions tan importants com aquella o d'altres o més importants encara, però el que jo no he sapigut trobar (i us ho dic amb tota la sinceritat i desafiu a ningú a que em demostri el contrari) és, cap persona, de la història política de la Catalunya moderna, estic parlant dés de l'any 50 cap aqui, que amb la mateixa continuïtat hagi estat present en totes les batalles per a la democràcia i per Catalunya, —• he dit en totes-- i estic segur que hi ha moments, hi ha persones què tenen un clar protagonisme, però són persones i són moments, no és la continuïtat que ha hagut en l'acció d'en Raimon Obiols des de l'any 1957 que jo el vaig conèixer, fins ara. 1 �Va ser en aquell 62 famós, en el qual es va començar a contruir reaiment el que seria el moviment de la llibertat i la democracia, en que per primera vegada va semblar, no només a aquells q ie més obsessivament s'ho creien sempre que erf - va tot a punt de caurey sino, a tothom, que el franquisme podria caure, la vagr d'Astúrias, la vaga d'' la Maquinistf , /a ser present en aquell moment, no romes a la Universitat oinò que estava present a través del movime-ií. socialista de Catalvnya en el món obrer i er. el món pol'tia .' ser.y-re.-, sempre, el ^moviment socialista d'en Joan Raventós \ Raimen O':iols ¿ irantanir en peu les dues banderes del Cc ;a.i.a.:iftme ; ":l socialisme, d'una forma clara, d'una for^a toçuca, i ; a ..orma que inclus en alguns els bagués pogut sembler en aquell moment que era excessivament eru^nime quan hi Lavis?i coses més importants per les quals lluitar 1 ells van manteni' sempre en pet la dobZe bandera cel sojialisire i de Catalunya qu<=> en definitiva era la mateixa bandera. Però va estar present també en el 66, 67, 68 i en aquells primera de maig que en la primera crisi del capitalisme desarrollista van anunciar realment el que podia ser una crisi posterior més gran i va ser present en el 70-71, i va ser present en l'Assemblea de Catalunya, en una Assemblea que va marcar teta una etapa de la transició política i en la qual si ara repassem qui era i qui no hi era, doncs-*- realment/molts no hi eren, dels que avui s'omplen la boca amb el nom de la llibertat i amb el nom de Catalunya i en aquell cas tan important de l'Assamblea de Catalunya i en aquell moviment tan important no hi eren i va ser present a la Capuxinada i va ser empresonat i, una, dos i tres vegades va ser detingut, per defensar una causa que en tot moir:ent va saber servir amb modèstia, amb eficàcia i amb un lideratge que li ha segut reconegut poc a poc però amb seguretat, en la història del nostre passat més immediat, en el nostre present i que li serà reconegut en el nostre immediat futur. Mireu, igual com els alcaldes de Catalunya hem lluitat per conseguir que la base d'aquest país estigués en condicions, de fer front al repte immens d'estar a l'alçAda del que eren els nostres somnis a l'any 75, 76, 77, aquells somnis de llibertat, d'amnistia, d'Estatut d'Autonomia, d'una Catalunya més gran, d'una Catalunya que empalmés amb l'esperit democràtic i autonòmic de la República, igual com els alcaldes, repeteixo, de les grans ciutats de Catalunya han fet mínimament possible que avui puguem dir que alguns d'aquells sommis s'han acomplert, jo crec que avui tenim l'obligació de fer el mateix en tot Catalunya, que allò que s'ha fet possible en trossos de Catalunya, en el territori de Catalunya o sigui en la seva totalitat.
