Entrevista a Xavier Rubert de Ventós (Barcelona, 1939), filòsof, escriptor i polític català.
És catedràtic d’Estètica de la Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, i professor a universitats catalanes i diverses universitats nord-americanes com la Universitat de Harvard, Brown, Berkeley, Cincinnati o New York.
A la Universitat de New York va fundar la Càtedra Barcelona-New York i el New York Institute for the Humanities. I amb Eugenio Trías Sagnier van crear el Col·legi de Filosofia (1976), grup que va renovar la filosofia catalana durant la transició democràtica espanyola.
Ha estat també parlamentari del Congrés Espanyol i del Parlament Europeu pel PSC-PSOE. Va participar de la lluita antifranquista des del Front Obrer de Catalunya. Amic des de la infància de Pasqual Maragall.

- Escola primària: Escoles Virtèlia (1945-1957).
- Llicenciatura en Dret: Facultat de Dret de la Universitat de Barcelona (1957-1964).
- Llicenciatura en Econòmiques: Facultat d'Econòmiques de la Universitat de Barcelona (1958-1965).
- Pràctiques de Dret Europeu (1963): estada a Estrasburg (França) per realitzar unes pràctiques de Dret Europeu a la Facultat Internacional de Dret Comparat.
- Pràctiques a Roma (1964): beca per estudiar planificació regional a la SVIMEZ (Associazione per lo SVIluppo dell'industria nel MEZzogiorno).
- Pràctiques amb Delors a París (gener-juny 1966): beca del Govern francès per l’estudi de planificació regional. Realitza unes pràctiques com a economista a l'Association pour l'organisation des STages En France (ASTEF) on obté el Diploma de planificació sectorial i regional. Les pràctiques les fa al Comissariat del Vè Pla amb el professor Jacques Delors.
- Postgrau a la New School for Social Research, New York, amb beca Fulbright (setembre 1971-setembre 1973): Master of Arts en economia, especialitzat en economia internacional i economia urbana.
- Doctorat (02/03/1979): en Ciències Econòmiques a la UAB. La tesi doctoral Els preus del sòl urbà. El cas de Barcelona (1948-1978), la va dirigir el catedràtic Josep Maria Vegara Carrió i va obtenir una valoració "Summa cum laude".

A) Agradecimiento doble por iniciativa de este ciclo de
Conferencias "Todos con Barcelona'92".
1) Porque lo organiza la Asociación Española de Prensa
Deportiva. Destacar el papel fundamental de la prensa.
Felicitar a nueva Junta Directiva (Miguel Vidal,
presidente) por la iniciativa de este ciclo y por la buena
salud que goza este organismo colegial.
2) Porque el título refleja el sentimiento de los , ,11.00. de
Barcelona'92. Los Juegos son un proyecto de ''s~ que
reclaman la participación y cooperación de tódos. Los
Juegos son objetivo de todos y todos estamos con
Barcelona'92.
B) La Carta Olímpica establece que la organización de los
JJ.00. recae en una ciudad, Barcelona. Pero la magnitud de los
Juegos (tecnología, infraestructuras, inversiones) requiere el
compromiso de todo el país. Los JJ.00. del 92 son el reto de
España ante el mundo. Los Juegos son un proyecto de

• El COOB trabaja en un proyecto de Exposición itinerante que
recorrerá las 17 CC.AA., durante 10 meses.
• Marco: Un globo inflable, que reproduce el Estadio Olímpico
de Montjuic (25 x 17 mts.) que visitará las 17 capitales, con
estancia de 10 días y actos con instituciones (autonómicas y
municipales), con voluntarios, clubes deportivos, homenaje a
deportistas olímpicos, escuelas, etc.

Las negociaciones con 6 grandes cadenas (USA, Europa, Japón,
Canadá, Australia, Nueva Zelanda) han supuesto récords de ingresos.
En algunos casos el incremento ha llegado a un 358% sobre Seúl'88.
En Seul, finalmente se ingresaron 407 millones de dólares.
Barcelona ya ha superado este techo.

2.- La División de Deportes está plenamente estructurada.
Incorporados los 28 técnicos de deportes, a propuesta de la
Federación Nacional correspondiente. Estos técnicos son los futuros
responsables de la organización de cada deporte.
3.- En abril ya cerramos los acuerdos con las Federaciones
Internacionales: Cada deporte ya tiene su sede. Todas las instalaciones
pactadas con las Federaciones Internacionales correspondientes.
4.- Definido el Plan de Instalaciones de Entrenamiento
5.- Pruebas piloto: rodaje de instalaciones y equipos humanos
En verano de 1991: - 4 preolímpicos (vela, remo, piragüismo
aguas bravas y aguas tranquilas)
- 9 competiciones alto nivel (atletismo,
beisbol, gimnasia, balonmano, judo, lucha,
waterpolo, natación y tenis)
6.- Trabajamos con Federaciones Internacionales en la elaboración del
calendario definitivo de las pruebas olímpicas.

El COOB'92 ha realizado una planificación rigurosa. Un Plan Director con
32 programas desarrollados en 319 proyectos y 2.591 puntos de controlhitos.

DIAGNÓSTICO GENERAL: Aquello que depende del Comité Organizador
Olímpico Barcelona'92 se desarrolla según la programación, incluso con
adelantos con respecto al calendario.
ELEMENTOS PREOCUPACIÓN: Proyectos asociados a los Juegos Olímpicos
que no dependen de la gestión del COOB'92
2.- FASE EJECUTIVA
1) ORTB'92: (Organismo de Radio y Televisión Barcelona'92) Órgano
encargado de producir la señal televisiva de los Juegos Olímpicos de
Barcelona'92. Garantía ante el mundo-Director: Manuel Romero.
Hoy se han aprobado el Manual de Funciones del ORTB'92 y el Plan de
Actuaciones de este organismo.
